THINGS TO LOOK FOR WHEN HIRING AN SEO
When you are looking for an SEO company to entrust your business to, you really need to look carefully. You want a reputable company that does a good business, but you also don’t want to overspend. The following are some things that you want to find in a professional SEO:
- A company that offers no promises, but realistic, gradual results. Bringing your website to the top in a natural way, takes time and so don’t expect immediate results, and if your SEO company offers you unrealistic ones than you haven’t yet found the right company for you.
- Look at their results. There are cues to be aware of. Look at their ranking and that of the client’s that they are doing business with. They should be able to easily take you to their pages and Google searches and those on other search engines under the key words should be able to let you see the results of their work. Remember if you want your site to rank high, then you want someone who can show you that they can do just that.
- An SEO should not require that you link to them. If they do, this is really just not a safe practice, and really will not produce any additional results for you. Your site should always remain its own entity.
- A thorough outline of the services that they will provide for you in each price range, as well as an explanation of exactly how this will help your site, what they are doing, and how long each process should take.
- A measurement system, by which they are not only going to make changes to your site and help the search engines locate it, but to follow the results and to continue to make changes based on those results. The internet is a constantly changing system, so there are no guarantees, however by following your results they should be able to see if what they are doing is working. And they should be able to show and explain them to you. Remember it is an SEO management company, so they will be managing and advising you along the way.
If you feel that you have been wronged by an SEO company, then you should contact the Federal Trade Commission, in Washington, DC.
